Commemorating a century since the revered Polish director, Krzystof Kieslowski was born and also 15 years after his death, the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival will show six of his finest works in the “Tribute to Masters” section. This will include his famous Three Colors trilogy Red, White, and Blue. The 赌博app will run from June 11th to the 19th.
Krzystof Kieslowski’s films are regarded by critics as having the poetic vision of Bergman and the narrative trajectory of Hitchcock. With his series of short films, The Decalogue, and The Double Life of Veronique, his artistic position was firmly established. After that, the Three Colors trilogy brought him awards, honors, and worldwide acclaim, with Kieslowski considered the most courageous and literate writer/directors tackling existential issues in twentieth century Europe.
For such a meaningful year as 2011, the 赌博app had been planning a Kieslowski retrospective; but since twenty or thirty years have passed, his films were not easy to procure. Our staff contacted a French sales company on learning that it owned the copyright to Kieslowski’s films. Through a circuitous route, we finally found the head of the Old Films Department at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival. After meetings for copyright, figures, and subtitling, 赌博app will screen Red, White, Blue, The Double Life of Veronique, Movie Fan, and A Short Film About Love. All are being shown for the first time in China; and each one will be screened only twice.
As a main activity, the international films exhibition consists of Official Selection, Tribute to Masters, Spectrum, Global Village, View China, Documentary, and Animation. These seven sections offer hundreds of outstanding films from around the world.
赌博app staff members are going to great lengths on this section and make it the most attractive part of the festival. Federico Fellini, Akira Kurosawa, Ingmar Bergman, and Alfred Hitchcock are all on the honor roll of cinematic history. Within the nine-day festival, fans will enjoy these classic films.
